Architecturally, Madinat Jumeirah, known as the Arabian Resort, is shaped like an ancient Arabian citadel.

It has two superb 5-star hotels, Al Qasr and Mina A'Salam, with 940 luxurious rooms and suites, plus the exclusive Dar Al Masyaf summer houses ....all linked by man-made waterways navigated by traditional Arab boats ,known as abras!

Nestled between the two hotels is the Souk Madinat Jumeirah, which has over 75 shops within a labyrinth network of passageways.

There are also a total of 45 bars, restaurants, cafes and the Trilogy nightclub there.

Souk Madinat Jumeirah does not feel like a shopping mall. It's a recreation of a traditional Middle Eastern souk or marketplace, with narrow alleyways and authentic architecture.

Madinat Jumeirah really is both attractive and fascinating

The blend of outlets is unlike anywhere else in Dubai, with boutique shops, galleries, cafes, restaurants and bars.

It is one of Dubai's hotspots, so people spend time wandering through the souk before enjoying a fabulous evening out, dining and dancing .......with the occasional drink!

The layout, in keeping with traditional souks, can be a little confusing. However, there are location maps and and the main features are all signposted.

During the cooler months, the doors and glass walls are opened, to add an alfresco atmosphere.

With the emphasis on unique brands, there are a large number of speciality outlets, which aren't found anywhere else in Dubai.

The souk is home to the greatest concentration of art boutiques in the city.

There is also an impressive Madinat Theatre at Madinat Jumeirah, which has seen international and regional artists perform everything from ballet to comedy since it opened.

Madinat Jumeirah has it all!!

Two luxury hotels in a wonderful location overlooking a sandy beach; beautiful landscaped gardens with palms; traditional Arabic architecture; relaxing water courses with traditional abras; a fascinating souk designed in the ancient Arabic style, but with upmarket, spotlessly clean shops and cafes ....... and even a top class theatre for evening entertainment!!

What more could you ask for to enjoy a brilliant holiday?
